Shradha Triveni
Shradha is a journalist based in Bengaluru, India. In the past two years as a journalist, Shradha has worked as a reporter with the Deccan Herald and as an editorial intern with The Caravan. Her stint with the Deccan Herald encompasses civic issues, tourism, weather and culture. Shradha’s civic reporting spans critical issues such as poor urban infrastructure, urban heat, water contamination and unscientific solid waste management systems. Through this work, she has come to understand that those least responsible for environmental degradation often suffer its harshest consequences. This awareness fuels her growing interest in environmental and conservation reporting. Shradha believes that effective writing and communication combined with deep on-the-ground engagement are essential to turning ideas into tangible change. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English, journalism and psychology; a master’s in English major and a postgraduate diploma in translation and creative writing.
