Barasha Das

Barasha Das is an independent journalist based in Guwahati, Assam, contributing to Mongabay since 2022. Her work explores the intersection of environment, indigenous knowledge systems, climate crisis and nature-based solutions, with a strong focus on northeast India. Her work spotlights underreported perspectives and voices, and uncovers practical solutions that emerge from lived experiences. She was a Fellow of the QoC-CANSA Fellowship 2023-24 on Cities and Climate Change, through which she reported extensively on the climate crisis in urban spaces and explored potential solutions.
