Dr AJT Johnsingh carried out a study on dholes (Cuon alpinus) in the 1970's reported to be the first such study on a free ranging mammal in India.He has worked with the Smithsonian Institution, Bombay Natural History Society and Wildlife Institute of India. Presently he is associated with Nature Conservation Foundation, WWF India and Corbett Foundation. His interests are on landscapes, corridors, large mammals and Mahseer.
